This morning, I booted up and began using my laptop with my bluetooth mouse. I've been using this mouse for several days now without a single problem. Yesterday I added a new bluetooth mouse (MS Intellimouse), and had both running simultaneously just fine all day yesterday and last night. This morning, after my machine was up for about 30-40 minutes, my mouse stopped working. I hit the buttons, switched the on/off switch, etc. I was only using one mouse at the time (however, my second mouse was probably within range and I believe it was on in my backpack). After messing with the switch a few times, bthidd core dumped. I restarted it, and hit the switch on my mouse a few more times, and then I got mouse services back. Here's my info: /var/log/messages snippet: May 18 06:00:00 neutrino newsyslog[867]: logfile turned over due to size>100K May 18 06:35:08 neutrino bthidd[482]: Remote device 00:0c:55:01:bf:39 has closed control connection May 18 06:35:09 neutrino bthidd[482]: Accepted control connection from 00:0c:55:01:bf:39 May 18 06:35:09 neutrino bthidd[482]: Accepted interrupt connection from 00:0c:55:01:bf:39 May 18 06:35:29 neutrino bthidd[482]: Remote device 00:0c:55:01:bf:39 has closed control connection May 18 06:35:39 neutrino bthidd[482]: Accepted control connection from 00:0c:55:01:bf:39 May 18 06:35:39 neutrino bthidd[482]: Accepted interrupt connection from 00:0c:55:01:bf:39 May 18 06:38:16 neutrino bthidd[482]: Remote device 00:0c:55:01:bf:39 has closed control connection May 18 06:38:16 neutrino bthidd[482]: Accepted control connection from 00:0c:55:01:bf:39 May 18 06:38:16 neutrino bthidd[482]: Accepted interrupt connection from 00:0c:55:01:bf:39 May 18 06:42:36 neutrino bthidd[482]: Accepted control connection from 00:50:f2:e9:a1:f1 May 18 06:42:37 neutrino bthidd[482]: Accepted interrupt connection from 00:50:f2:e9:a1:f1 May 18 06:43:51 neutrino kernel: system power profile changed to 'performance' May 18 06:43:51 neutrino kernel: acpi_acad0: On Line May 18 06:43:51 neutrino power_profile: changed to 'performance' May 18 06:44:37 neutrino bthidd[482]: Remote device 00:0c:55:01:bf:39 has closed control connection May 18 06:44:38 neutrino kernel: pid 482 (bthidd), uid 0: exited on signal 6 (core dumped) May 18 06:45:33 neutrino kernel: ng_l2cap_l2ca_receive: ubt0l2cap - unexpected L2CAP data packet.
