I have an onboard soundcard for my FreeBSD box and I was thinking of getting the new Audigy card. Does the FreeBSD drivers for the Audigy take advantage of surround sound, EAX, digital connections, or number of channels? Or does the soundcard operate at a more basic level ie. stereo sound no hardware acceleration etc. Is there any reason to have such a high end soundcard in a FreeBSD system? Thanks
