That solved the problem of my moused dying while sleeping. Unfortunately, I still cannot successfully sleep in X. Even sleeping before starting X is disastrous - it still make sthe space invaders-esque red graphics at the top of my screen when trying to start X, and never becomes usable. Anyone have any ideas what I need to do next? What changed between 5.3 and 5.4 that makes this different? I have attached my current kernel file. Maybe I disabled something I shouldn't have, or ommitted something that I need?
