Please also check the log file at "/var/log/Xorg.0.log" for > additional information. It's not sparc64 specific. I've been getting the same error on FreeBSD/i386-CURRENT since Monday. I've re-cvsuped/rebuilt everything multiple times, but always get that same error (can't load module bitmap) when I try to start the server. Richard Coleman rcoleman@criticalmagic.com
