Hi, I haven't suspended/resumed my thinkpad t42 for while (it kinda worked before when I ran 6.0 stable) and now after updating my system to 6.2-STABLE I can't seem resume anymore. More precisely, when I try to resume from suspend (S3) the screen is garbled with horizontal and vertical lines mostly in a black tone. The system still responds just the screen won't work anymore (switching ttys doesn't help either). Anyone has an idea what might cause the problem or can anyone confirm the suspend/resume works on a t42 running 6.2? cheers, tom == some more details about my system == ## loader.conf ## autoboot_delay="0" beastie_disable="YES" acpi_load="YES" acpi_video_load="YES" acpi_ibm_load="YES" cpufreq_load="YES" snd_ich_load="YES" ## KERNEL ## machine i386 cpu I686_CPU ident T42 options CPU_SUSP_HLT options SCHED_4BSD # 4BSD scheduler options PREEMPTION # Enable kernel thread preemption options INET # InterNETworking options FFS # Berkeley Fast Filesystem options SOFTUPDATES # Enable FFS soft updates support options UFS_ACL # Support for access control lists options UFS_DIRHASH # Improve performance on big directories options CD9660 # ISO 9660 Filesystem options PROCFS # Process filesystem (requires PSEUDOFS) options PSEUDOFS # Pseudo-filesystem framework options GEOM_GPT # GUID Partition Tables. options COMPAT_43 # Compatible with BSD 4.3 [KEEP THIS!] options COMPAT_FREEBSD4 # Compatible with FreeBSD4 options COMPAT_FREEBSD5 # Compatible with FreeBSD5 options SCSI_DELAY=5000 # Delay (in ms) before probing SCSI options KTRACE # ktrace(1) support options SYSVSHM # SYSV-style shared memory options SYSVMSG # SYSV-style message queues options SYSVSEM # SYSV-style semaphores options _KPOSIX_PRIORITY_SCHEDULING # POSIX P1003_1B real-time extensions options KBD_INSTALL_CDEV # install a CDEV entry in /dev options AHC_REG_PRETTY_PRINT # Print register bitfields in debug options AHD_REG_PRETTY_PRINT # Print register bitfields in debug options ADAPTIVE_GIANT # Giant mutex is adaptive. options DEVICE_POLLING device apic # I/O APIC device pci device fdc device ata device atadisk # ATA disk drives device atapicd # ATAPI CDROM drives options ATA_STATIC_ID # Static device numbering device scbus # SCSI bus (required for SCSI) device da # Direct Access (disks) device atkbdc # AT keyboard controller device atkbd # AT keyboard device psm # PS/2 mouse device kbdmux # keyboard multiplexer device vga # VGA video card driver device splash # Splash screen and screen saver support device sc device agp # support several AGP chipsets device pmtimer device cbb # cardbus (yenta) bridge device pccard # PC Card (16-bit) bus device cardbus # CardBus (32-bit) bus device sio # 8250, 16[45]50 based serial ports device ppc device ppbus # Parallel port bus (required) device lpt # Printer device ppi # Parallel port interface device device em # Intel PRO/1000 adapter Gigabit Ethernet Card device wlan # 802.11 support device loop # Network loopback device random # Entropy device device ether # Ethernet support device ppp # Kernel PPP device tun # Packet tunnel. device pty # Pseudo-ttys (telnet etc) device md # Memory "disks" device gif # IPv6 and IPv4 tunneling device bpf # Berkeley packet filter device uhci # UHCI PCI->USB interface device ohci # OHCI PCI->USB interface device ehci # EHCI PCI->USB interface (USB 2.0) device usb # USB Bus (required) device ugen # Generic device uhid # "Human Interface Devices" device ukbd # Keyboard device ulpt # Printer device umass # Disks/Mass storage - Requires scbus and da device ums # Mouse device urio # Diamond Rio 500 MP3 player device uscanner # Scanners options IPSEC #IP security options IPSEC_ESP #IP security (crypto; define w/ IPSEC) ## sysctl.conf ## hw.acpi.lid_switch_state=S3 ## make.conf ## CFLAGS= -O -pipe CPUTYPE?= pentium4m KERNCONF= T42 NO_I4B= yes NO_BIND= yes WITH_BDB_VER= 42 WITH_GTK2= yes WITH_MOZILLA= firefox PERL_VER=5.8.8 PERL_VERSION=5.8.8 ## hardware notes ## none2@pci2:2:0: class=0x020000 card=0x057e1014 chip=0x1014168c rev=0x01 hdr=0x00 vendor = 'Atheros Communications Inc.' device = '11a/b/g Wireless LAN Mini PCI Adapter' class = network subclass = ethernet acpi_video0@pci1:0:0: class=0x030000 card=0x05501014 chip=0x4e501002 rev=0x00 hdr=0x00 vendor = 'ATI Technologies Inc' device = 'Mobility Radeon 9700 (M10 NP) (RV350)' class = display subclass = VGA -- Thomas Spreng <spreng@iam.unibe.ch> Institute of Computer Science and Applied Mathematics University of Bern Switzerland
