Have you enabled IPv6 support? Have you set the system property java.net.preferIPv4Stack=true? Perhaps setting the environment variable JAVAVM_OPTS thusly will help JAVAVM_OPTS="-Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true" -stacy
