Doing some searches for my HDD model lead me to that PR: http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=3D152817 It describes exactly my problem and I thought that there's also a solution available: I took the patch mentioned as "committed to head" in the PR (http://svn.freebsd.org/viewvc/base/head/sys/cam/ata/ata_xpt.c?r1=3D21545= 4&r2=3D217444&pathrev=3D217444&diff_format=3Du) and applied it to RELENG_8_2. Unfortunately I'm still getting the TFD: 04d1 ahcich Poll error and the disk isn't seen. What's my mistake?
