This is an OpenPGP/MIME signed message (RFC 2440 and 3156) --------------enig49090019DDA56A84761FC037 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-15 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Hello, according to tar(1), the base system tape archiver is bsdtar since 8.x , which lacks support for multi-volumes. I guess I can easily omit that restriction by installing gtar from archivers/ in the ports collection. Is there any plan to implement split volume support again for the base system? Any better app to feed tapes these days in FreeBSD?
