A hack I did instead of reconfiguring the whole system to install the sendmail port to move to v8.11.6 was to make and install the sendmail port. Copied the new sendmail binary from /usr/local/sbin/sendmail to overwrite /usr/libexec/sendmail/sendmail. Then I just uninstalled the port. Seems to work :) btw - is FreeBSD 4.4 going to ship with v.8.11.6 at least?
