Hi, I am trying to install FreeBSD 4.6 for the first time.. When I go to
the kernel configuration to adjust all the conflicts 7 of them, I then
correct and save the changes it then takes me to a screen that says Probing
devices please wait this may take a while. How long is a while? I been
waiting for almost 30 mins now. Does that mean something is wrong for it
take that long? I know I corrected the conflicts. Any help would be great
thanks. For your information I am trying to dual boot on WindowsXP Professional

System Specs.

900Mhz AMD Athon ThunderBird Processor
256megs of DDR ram
EliteGroup K7S5A Socket A mainboard
Bios version American Megatrends Inc.07.00T
MaXtor 30GIG 7200 rpms partition into 2 drives C and D.
Creative 52x CD-ROM

I just don't get it I tried to install it on my old crappy pc that is only
a 1.3gig hardrive 192megs of ram and a 333mhz celeron processor it started
the installation fine on this one.
