I can't see how this would be useful, but I'll assume that there's a
scenario you have to deal with and I don't have to deal with where it's
necessary.

Operating on that assumption, I propose -o for "write-only mode for all
users" and -O for "write-only mode for guest (anonymouse & ftp) users".
