RCS is ideal for keeping track of my configuration files in /etc. What do we gain by removing it? Roughly 640 kilobytes of executable code and 60 kilobytes of compressed man pages. Had the community that hangs our on this mailing list heard about this when it could still have been described as a proposal, as opposed to a fait accompli, I would have described it as the epitome of a Half Baked Idea. -- George
