For your information, I committed a patch to FreeBSD HEAD which I
believe fixes the boot display selection issue. With this patch, you
won't have to tune hw.pci.default_vgapci_unit anymore.

It'll be committed to FreeBSD 10 as soon as possible and I hope it'll
make it to PC-BSD too.
