What written agreements do these committers have with their employers? Normally, if you are paid to write something by your employer, your employer owns the copyright in what you write. So unless these committers have specific agreements with their employers to the contrary, they are adding code to FreeBSD that is encumbered by copyrights owned by their employer, and can no longer be freely distributed. -- Anthony
