Hello, I'm running 6.0-STABLE and having an issue with dhclient "ignoring" dhclient.conf(5). On this dual-homed host, I've created dhclient.conf in it's proper location with the option modifiers I want. However, everytime dhclient negotiates a new lease, I get my ISP's values in resolv.conf(5) and not my over-rides. Here's the relevent part of rc.conf(5): # grep ifconfig /etc/rc.conf ifconfig_fxp0="DHCP" ifconfig_xl0="inet 172.16.1.1 netmask 255.255.255.0" and my dhclient.conf file: # cat /etc/dhclient.conf interface "fxp0" { supersede domain mydomain.com supersede domain-name-servers 172.16.1.17, 172.16.1.32; } and the last lease issued in /var/db/dhclient.leases.fxp0: lease { interface "fxp0"; fixed-address 10.0.0.100; option subnet-mask 255.255.252.0; option routers 10.0.0.1; option domain-name-servers 10.0.0.10; option domain-name "myisp.com"; option broadcast-address 255.255.255.255; option dhcp-lease-time 59594; option dhcp-message-type 5; option dhcp-server-identifier 10.42.224.1; renew 4 2005/12/1 23:29:22; rebind 5 2005/12/2 05:41:49; expire 5 2005/12/2 07:45:59; } and lastly, what I see in /etc/resolv.conf: # cat /etc/resolv.conf search myisp.com nameserver 10.0.0.10 Not sure what I'm doing wrong here. Googling provided no useful information. -- Regards, Doug
