Hum, sorry, but no, that's not the problem, I just tried and I can upgrade from 6.2, 6.3, 6.4, 7.1 and 7.2 to 9.1 with freebsd-update directly without problems. It gives an error on 7.0, which leads me to think that something's broken on that particular path. The file[1] that fails integrity check must have had something bad happening to it when it was created. 1: debug tells me it's 9.1-RELEASE/i386/m/d80b83818c81a090997460d48fb1f53eb14d43072a1d1a4a5ba16de4c5ae93b2.gz -- Mathieu Arnold
