Hmmmm. How does this handle the issue of a /tmp directory that's not big enough to hold the intermediate unpacked copy? That reason is why bin, doc, manpages, etc are not currently distributed as packages. You might look into ``@option extract-in-place'' as a way of getting around that limitation.
