Dear Free BSD user \ subscriber,

My name is John Finlay, and I am a magazine publisher, hard copy, not
online. I publish 4-color magazines such as Concierge magazine and New Senior
Living. These magazines are printed on high quality, glossy paper with
sophisticated graphics.

Through my association with a BSD user in Houston, I am exploring the idea of
publishing a Free BSD magazine. This magazine would contain pertinent
articles by the leaders in the BSD industry, and include tech-type
advertising to support the publication.

My inquiry to you is this, would you be willing to pay for a monthly or
quarterly magazine dealing with BSD issues? I anticipate a subscription rate
of $5-8 per issue, which will include mailing. My associate has assured me
that we will be able to put the magazine on-line as well as publish it in
hard copy format.

I am presently publishing New Senior Living in Houston, Central \ Southeast
Texas, Dallas-Ft. Worth, and Oklahoma. I am presently publishing Concierge in
Houston and Dallas. These are totally unrelated magazines, but are very
expensive, nice publications that show I am serious about the publishing
business.

Any comments or suggestions you have on this topic are greatly appreciated.

interest in this project. Thank you very much for your time and interest.

Sincerely,
