I'm not sure what "QFHN" is, but setting up an entry in /etc/ethers =
provides the IP to MAC address mapping that ARP attempts to provide =
dynamically.

Assuming there's a router at 10.234.37.1 which knows how to get to =
10.227.148.52, yes.
