It seems to try to mount the root.flp floppy, which I have rawritten. Who's wrong, the machine or me? And I can't get NFS installation to work, something like permission problems. When the NFS filesystem is mounted, I cannot even cd into the mountpoint directory, "permission denied". And I can't get installation from a DOS partition to work, some kind of error during mounting, I don't recall exactly what. The one time that I tricked the system (actually I switched to VT4 and manually extracted the root.flp, then configured the ethernet, ftp-ed the bindist to /tmp, switched back to the menu and let it go installing from UFS), I actually got *something* installed. But when I booted from the harddisk, I got tons of "signal 11"s. Guess it's time to give up for today. My previous experience with the installation menu of 2.0R and various snapshots was not this bad. Georg-W. Koltermann, gwk@cray.com
