Hi folks! My USB camera is not detected by FreeBSD 8.1. In 7.1 it was working flawlessly. In my case even no /dev/da* device is created. Google does not provide answers, since people mainly discuss inability to work with /dev/da* which is absent on my system. In 7.1 the "da" device and slice "da0s1" were created automatically. Is it possible to make it working as before? /var/log/messages: Nov 2 00:14:12 homebsd root: Unknown USB device: vendor 0x054c product 0x0010 bus uhub3 Nov 2 00:14:12 homebsd kernel: ugen3.2: <Sony> at usbus3 Nov 2 00:14:12 homebsd kernel: umass0: <Sony Sony DSC, class 0/0, rev 2.00/6.00, addr 2> on usbus3 Nov 2 00:14:23 homebsd kernel: (probe0:umass-sim0:0:0:0): AutoSense failed Output of some commands: homebsd > sudo camcontrol devlist <TOSHIBA CDW/DVD SD-R1612 TB01> at scbus2 target 0 lun 0 (pass0,cd0) <Optiarc DVD RW AD-5200A 1.01> at scbus2 target 1 lun 0 (pass1,cd1) homebsd > sudo camcontrol reset all Reset of bus 0 returned error 0x6 Reset of bus 1 was successful Reset of bus 2 was successful Reset of bus 3 returned error 0x3a homebsd > sudo camcontrol rescan all Re-scan of bus 0 was successful Re-scan of bus 1 was successful Re-scan of bus 2 was successful Re-scan of bus 3 was successful homebsd > sudo camcontrol devlist -v scbus0 on sbp0 bus 0: <> at scbus0 target -1 lun -1 () scbus1 on ata0 bus 0: <> at scbus1 target -1 lun -1 () scbus2 on ata1 bus 0: <TOSHIBA CDW/DVD SD-R1612 TB01> at scbus2 target 0 lun 0 (pass0,cd0) <Optiarc DVD RW AD-5200A 1.01> at scbus2 target 1 lun 0 (pass1,cd1) <> at scbus2 target -1 lun -1 () scbus3 on umass-sim0 bus 0: scbus-1 on xpt0 bus 0: <> at scbus-1 target -1 lun -1 (xpt0) Alexander Churanov
