Your uname -a will say you're running -STABLE, not -RELEASE-something. = This is a result of using source upgrades to anything but RELENG_6_X in = the past. Which, in turn, is why freebsd-update fails. Move /usr/bin/uname out of the way, create a shell script like so: --- #!/bin/sh /usr/bin/uname.org $* | sed s/STABLE/RELEASE/g --- and chmod 755 it. Then try again. I know, it's ugly, and it might get = you into trouble. But it Worked For Me. Oh and I suppose this belongs on the -users or -stable list? /Eirik On Dec 2, 2009, at 6:21 PM, Matthew Herzog wrote: > On 12/02/2009 09:11 AM, Alex Huth wrote: >> Hello! >>=20 >> Is it no longer possible to update minor 6.x releases to 6.3 or 6.4 = with the >> script mentioned on the announcement off 6.3? >>=20 >> http://www.freebsd.org/releases/6.3R/announce.html >>=20 >> Using it i get the error: >>=20 >> Looking up update.FreeBSD.org mirrors... 3 mirrors found. >> Fetching public key from update2.FreeBSD.org... failed. >> Fetching public key from update5.FreeBSD.org... failed. >> Fetching public key from update4.FreeBSD.org... failed. >> No mirrors remaining, giving up. >=20 > It fails for me too.
