Hi i followed a tutorial online and i can do, [labs] /etc/namedb# nslookup freebsd.org Server: localhost.unixhideout.com Address: 127.0.0.1 Name: freebsd.org Address: 216.136.204.21 [labs] /etc/namedb# that looks like its working right? but when i do : [labs] /etc/namedb# nslookup 192.168.1.20 Server: localhost.unixhideout.com Address: 127.0.0.1 *** localhost.unixhideout.com can't find 192.168.1.20: Non-existent host/domain [labs] /etc/namedb# eh? 192.168.1.20 is the box named is running on. I am very new to DNS and i am trying to learn which is why im doing this. So be easy on me! thanks!
