Hi, I'm just about to build a fileserver and I was wondering if anyone could give me some input into the directory structure i have decided on, Disk1 is a 20Gb IDE Drive and Disk2 is a 40-80Gb Drive Filesystem Size Drive ---------- ------- ----- / 512Mb Disk1 /var 512Mb Disk1 /usr 4096Mb Disk1 /usr/home 10240Mb Disk2 /usr/src 2048Mb Disk1 /usr/ports 2048Mb Disk2 /usr/obj 2048Mb Disk2 /usr/local/squid/cache 2048Mb Disk1 /usr/local/www 1024Mb Disk2 /share 20480Mb Disk2 SWAP 256Mb Disk1 SWAP 256Mb Disk2 Does this setup sound like a good plan? Or do you guys think I should move stuff around? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
