I just cvsuped to 4.4-PRERELEASE, and my pccard stopped working, using the
GENERIC kernel.
I have a 3com 3C589D-TP.
On boot, I get the messages (from netstart)

Setup PC-CARD: memory beep pccardd.
<blah blah blah>

pccardd[85]: No card in database for "(null)"("(null)")
pccardd[85]: pccard started

is there something different between 4.3 and 4.4 that you have to put in
rc.conf to make pccards work?
