This answer is way to short. I looked up the man md5 and it says this creates an md5 hash total for the file. This does not answer my question. "I have read a lot about people checking the FBSD new version ISO files to there matching md5sum totals to verify the ISO file downloaded correctly. What commands does a person use to do this?" How does your answer describe how to do this? Don't I have to use the ISO files published md5sun file and run some program using it to check it against the downloaded ISO file it self? -----Original Message----- From: Henning, Brian [mailto:brian.henning@navitaire.com] Sent: Monday, June 17, 2002 4:48 PM To: 'barbish@a1poweruser.com' Subject: RE: how to check iso files with md5sum totals md5 <filename> -----Original Message----- From: Joe & Fhe Barbish [mailto:barbish@a1poweruser.com] Sent: Monday, June 17, 2002 3:40 PM To: FBSDQ Subject: how to check iso files with md5sum totals I have read a lot about people checking the FBSD new version ISO files to there matching md5sum totals to verify the ISO file downloaded correctly.
