One of the best book sets (2 books) I've seen is by Wright/Stevens, "TCP/IP Illustrated, Volumes I & II". Some of the information may be out of date, but it's an excellent overview of the implementation, especially when coupled with looking at the current code. I checked out the handbook in freebsd.org site but i could not find any useful info in that . I want information on the data structures used for the implementation and stuff like that . I do not have any detailed idea about networking .
