Hi all.. Recently, we've been noticing that our main server is generating kernel messages saying: file table is full I've tried altering some options in the kernel configuration file and recompiling it etc. (noteably CHILD_MAX & OPEN_MAX which i've set at 1000) but we're still getting the same error messages every day after the server's been up for 5-6 hours. Quite a few processes are running on this server including sendmail, radiusd, ipop3d, named all of which are used quite intensively so there will be a lot of open files in the system. Is the file table setting #DEFINE'd anywhere, if so, where?? Thanks in advance, . .--------------------=:=----------------------.
