If you want Linux to destroy the BSDs, you have to find a scenario where Linux is technically superiour (in almost all ways) to the BSDs. Unless that happens, there will always be a market segment that prefers us. Doesn't mean we'll have the same size, of course. :-) Now, if you talk 10 years, that's much harder to predict.
