Dear sir, I am a beginner in FreeBSD. I tried to install this operating system on my machine but I found out I can not open the Xwindows after finishing installation. Whenever I enter the command startx or xinit, there is a message "can't find startx(/xinit)" came out. The other functions work properly. Could you help me solve this problem? My machine is Toshiba EQUIUM 5230D. The system includes ATI 3D Ranger viedo card(4M RAM), intel pro 100 ethernet card, intel Pentium 233 MMX CPUs, 32 M RAM, 3GB hard drive and 24X CD-Rom. My monitor is Viewsonic GS771(17"). I think that there is no hardware conflict. I followed the instruction to install the BSD several times but still could not figure out what happened. Please help me. Thanks, Yu-Ting Wei To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
