Well, I created the existing devel/got port.  It identifies all
portability issues that concern FreeBSD and solves them.  It should
be the obvious starting point for an import into base.

I'll happily contribute to get a "-portable" effort to build on
FreeBSD eventually, but that's orthogonal to importing got into
base.
