https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=241765 Bug ID: 241765 Summary: em(4) - does not preserve link status across suspend/resume Product: Base System Version: 12.1-RELEASE Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Some People Priority: --- Component: kern Assignee: bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: dirkx@webweaving.org With an upgrade to 12.1 (from an early 11) -- the em(4) gigabit wired ethernet drive (on PCI) does not seem to preserve the link status across suspend/resume cycles on various Intel and Dell laptops. To reproduce/test: - default 12.1 minimal install. - connect no ethernet cable. - boot (em0 will be up by default) - 'sudo ifconfig em0 down' - suspend by closing lid or 'zzz'. - resume 5 mins later, - observe that em0 is back up. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.home | help
