https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=243381 Bug ID: 243381 Summary: gobject-introspection not updated when upgrading python Product: Ports & Packages Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: gnome@FreeBSD.org Reporter: doctorwhoguy@gmail.com Assignee: gnome@FreeBSD.org Flags: maintainer-feedback?(gnome@FreeBSD.org) I just tried building print/harfbuzz-icu, and it failed, apparently with the same issue as in bug 243191 and bug 242927. I use portmaster for upgrading my system, and I recently followed the instructions in /usr/ports/UPDATING for 20191216 for users of Python. The issue was resolved by simply recompiling devel/gobject-introspection. I think this issue was addressed previously in bug 238254, but it has cropped up again with another Python version bump. Ideally, portupgrade or portmaster would detect these Python bindings and automatically rebuild gobject-introspection. Failing that, maybe the gobject-introspection port could be modified so that it includes the @py37 specifier used by many other Python-related ports. At the least, this issue with gobject-introspection should probably be mentioned in /usr/ports/UPDATING as was done for Samba in the 20200113 entry. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.home | help
