https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=251114 Bug ID: 251114 Summary: x11/xorg: /usr/local/bin/Xorg Segmentation Fault When Switch Virtual TTY Product: Ports & Packages Version: Latest Hardware: amd64 OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: x11@FreeBSD.org Reporter: jlmales@gmail.com Assignee: x11@FreeBSD.org Flags: maintainer-feedback?(x11@FreeBSD.org) This /usr/local/bin/Xorg segmentation fault has occurred twice today within 90 minutes of each occurrance. In the second occurrence only a file manager, two consoles, sylpheed, and XFCE DTE were running since boot of system. This issue occurred about week ago, but I did not make attempts to save or document as at time I thought it was just a very rare set of conditions. Prior to about two weeks ago this issue had never occurred since I first installed FreeBSD July 2019. I will attach the related /var/log/Xorg.0.log files and console output of system information. I have never has this a bug with X before in all my years of using X. I do not know what other information I should provide if there is other information needed that I have provided. The problem the three times that has occurred has always occurred when switching virtual terminals via Ctrl-Alt-Fx where the return to X/XFCE DTE via ctrl-alt-F9 causes the bug. Data loss occurs as result of this bug. In each of the three instances of the bug the system is rebooted. Ergo the 90 minutes between first and second occurrence of the bug today. The last occurrence via /var/log/Xorg.0.log was: [ 8568.469] (EE) Backtrace: [ 8568.835] (EE) 0: /usr/local/bin/Xorg (OsInit+0x38a) [0x5b898a] [ 8568.910] (EE) unw_get_proc_name failed: no unwind info found [-10] [ 8568.910] (EE) 1: /lib/libthr.so.3 (?+0x0) [0x802800bb0] [ 8568.917] (EE) unw_get_proc_name failed: no unwind info found [-10] [ 8568.917] (EE) 2: /lib/libthr.so.3 (?+0x0) [0x802800110] [ 8568.923] (EE) 3: ?
