https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=280389 Bug ID: 280389 Summary: Handbook/x11: remove duplication about "Do not run Xorg -configure" Product: Documentation Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Many People Priority: --- Component: Books & Articles Assignee: doc@FreeBSD.org Reporter: justsomelessons@gmail.com Created attachment 252205 --> https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/attachment.cgi?id=252205&action=edit handbook/x11: remove duplication There is a Tip in section "5.2. Installing Xorg" which states: "Video cards, monitors, and input devices are automatically detected and do not require any manual configuration. Do not create xorg.conf or run a -configure step unless automatic configuration fails." But the exact same text is already in section "5.4. Xorg Configuration", and it seems more relevant to stay here (in 5.4 section). So I suggest to remove such lines from section "5.2. Installing Xorg". ==== I also suggested pull request earlier https://github.com/freebsd/freebsd-doc/pull/397 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.home | help
