https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=281965 Bug ID: 281965 Summary: Support long filenames Product: Base System Version: CURRENT Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Keywords: feature Severity: Affects Some People Priority: --- Component: kern Assignee: bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: scineram@gmail.com FreeBSD should support longer than 255 byte(?) filenames. I want to switch from TrueNAS Core to vanilla OS, not to Linux. But long filenames might make me. I have hit the limit with yt-dlp many times, and had to cut off video titles on my zfs share. Especially with japanese characters. I hope bugzilla accepts feature requests. https://github.com/openzfs/zfs/pull/15921#issuecomment-2384006157 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.home | help
