https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=288729 Bug ID: 288729 Summary: drm or amdgpu or xorg -- missing screen updates Product: Base System Version: 14.3-STABLE Hardware: amd64 OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: kern Assignee: bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: pprocacci@gmail.com Created attachment 262803 --> https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/attachment.cgi?id=262803&action=edit dmesg uname -a FreeBSD dads_pc.int.clt.procacci.family 14.3-STABLE FreeBSD 14.3-STABLE stable/14-n272137-627831eba3de GENERIC amd64 Fresh 14 stable. Fresh xorg/amdgpu/etc. Typing in an xterm sometimes results in characters not being drawn to the terminal immediately and instead only show after another windowing event occurs, such as moving the mouse, typing one or sometimes more characters, moving the window, etc. This isn't limited to xterm, but I also tried with urxvt. This problem also presents itself with the mouse where it will periodically stop moving only to "catch up" and move to where it should be. Funnily enough, this input "lag" at least in regards to the keyboard doesn't occur on a firefox text area, like the one I'm typing out this report on. Characters typed are presented immediately. I've taken a video to provide an example: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Q7PCjlfz_CPhGgKOzmNnbr8ct6ZZEodV/view?usp=sharing I'm not sure what else I can provide.
