https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=290452 Bug ID: 290452 Summary: Wireless Configuration Thinkpad T490s not applied to installation Product: Base System Version: 15.0-CURRENT Hardware: amd64 OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Some People Priority: --- Component: wireless Assignee: wireless@FreeBSD.org Reporter: saohh@gmx.de When Installing the FreeBSD 15.0 Beta 2 on my Lenovo Thinkpad T490s i have gone through the configuration Details of the Wireless Adapter. I was excited because the whole process during the installation seemed to work flawlessly. It scanned for available WLANs around and i choose the correct Details to set it up (WLAN Network Name, Password etc.), the installation process continued (i imagined the configuration was successfull). After the Installation completes, and i reboot, i am left with a installation, that did not take over any of the details i entered / chose during the installation process (the WLAN adapter is detected IWN / Intel Module) but there is no connection setup / established / ping in the command line is not able to resolve e.g. www.google.com. This will be a very bad first impression for new users, as they would have to figure out how to fix it on the shell. I hope someone can solve this, so the setup details one provides during the installation process persist also after the final reboot (to get into the configured / installed OS).
