https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=291461 Bug ID: 291461 Summary: 15.0 doesn't boot in UEFI on HPE MicroServer/iLO Product: Base System Version: 15.0-STABLE Hardware: amd64 OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Some People Priority: --- Component: bin Assignee: bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: mark@markshroyer.com The 15.0 USB install media fails to boot on my HPE MicroServer Gen10 Plus while accessing the console over iLO: The loader runs, but when I choose "Boot Installer" (or "Boot Single user"), it prints only the following before the server instantaneously reboots: --- Loading kernel... /boot/kernel/kernel text=0x1865e8 text=0xdbf5d4 text=0x4474db data=0x180+0xe80 data=0x1972e0+0x468d20 0x8+0x1949a0+0x8+0x1b90eb| Loading configured modules... can't find '/etc/hostid' can't find '/boot/entropy' staging 0x57800000 (not copying) tramp 0x6f5fe000 PT4 0x6f5f5000 Start @ 0xffffffff80387000 ... And not only does that provide a functioning serial console, but the iLO console works too in that case. - Setting console="eficom" seems to work intermittently? The 14.3 install media boots fine for me. I'm running the latest available system firmware (U48 v3.70) and iLO 5 (3.17) on this machine. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.home | help
