            Bug ID: 294053
Summary: timerfd: poor periodic timer performance
           Product: Base System
           Version: 16.0-CURRENT
          Hardware: Any
                OS: Any
            Status: New
          Severity: Affects Some People
          Priority: ---
         Component: kern
          Assignee: bugs@FreeBSD.org
          Reporter: jfree@freebsd.org

The current timerfd implementation fails to pass the
timerfd__periodic_timer_performance test, which expects 400000000 individual
nanosecond timeouts.

https://ci.freebsd.org/job/FreeBSD-main-amd64-test/28085/testReport/sys.kern/timerfd/timerfd__periodic_timer_performance/

Callout rescheduling for nanosecond intervals needs to be optimized.
