https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=294406 Bug ID: 294406 Summary: [NEW HARDWARE] AMD Phoenix SoC - 11 none@pci devices on Dell Inspiron 14 7445 2-in-1 (Ryzen 7 8840HS) Product: Base System Version: 15.0-RELEASE Hardware: amd64 OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: kern Assignee: bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: anthony.katernoza@gmail.com Created attachment 269610 --> https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/attachment.cgi?id=269610&action=edit ACPI, pciconf, dmesg logs and vmstat My FreeBSD 15.0-RELEASE system is experiencing issues of random network shutdown, severe mouse/keyboard latency and/or malfunction, and occasional sudden crashes. The first two behaviors occur when typing on the keyboard at a rate over ~1 key every half second, and significant usage (like typing out a document at higher speeds) leads to keyboard and/or mouse-pad malfunction. While investigating this issue, I found a number of peculiar dmesg-logged firmware errors related to the embedded controller. Firmware Error (ACPI): Could not resolve symbol [\134_SB.PCI0.LPC0.EC0], AE_NOT_FOUND (20250807/dswload2-315) Additionally, 11 AMD drivers are listed as none@pci, including the FCH LPC Bridge, audio controllers, sensor fusion hardware, non-VGA display drivers, and others. Other attempts at investigation Drivers with errors: 9x14e9/vendor=0x1022, 0x0000/vendor=0x0000 (there are 3 such driver issues), 0x790e/vendor=0x1022, 0x15c7/vendor=0x1022, 0x15e2/vendor=0x1022, 0x164a/vendor=0x1022, 0x14ec/vendor=0x1022, 0x1502/vendor = 0x1022 Of other note is that interrupt rates of things like acpi0, atkbd0 and ig4iic0 are extremely low. It is my suspicion that the DELL device is having issues mapping hardware to the system either due to some BIOS issue (though I have updated my BIOS to latest), or missing hexcodes in the FreeBSD drivers. All logs I have gathered regarding this issue, including ACPI, dmesg, pciconf and vmstat logs, are included in this bug report.
