This motherboard is 7 or 8 years old. <SNIP> I have those 3 unused (now) disks, so might as well play... I think FreeBSD does not fully support my USB 3.0 controller. Linux uses the xhci_hcd driver. FreeBSD seems to use the xhci_pci driver??
