I don't currently run fbsd on a laptop; I run ubuntu only because some apps
I need like prusa-slicer aren't available on fbsd.

I have a framework laptop and use a USB-A to ethernet adapter labelled as
"UGREEN"; I think they also make a USB-C adapter.

I haven't had any trouble with it, but usually only use it at home where
network traffic is not high, and the connection to the outside world is only
1MB. It is more reliable than my wifi.
