Hello there, I'm writing to tell that I'm interested in helping to port HAL to FreeBSD. I have some background in C/C++ programming, but no background in kernel level stuff. Looking at HAL source code, it seems to have little dependency on kernel level resources, just some ioctl calls, and some exclusive Linux kernel structures, as far as I can see. I believe that this task will be a great start point to learn more about FreeBSD and GNOME. Are there any plans? Right now I'm trying only to build HAL (version 0.5.5) in my FreeBSD box. Thanks. -- Adriano Del Vigna adriano.delvigna@gmail.com katmandu@brturbo.com
