Hi All,

Recently (well past couple of days ago) I asked a question in this mailing list and well got a lot of helpful replies...:) Thanks...:)

I sorted my problem out which was to do with setting up a freebsd nis-server serving freebsd and linux clients and other issues related with it, for example using amd to mount home directories, while maps are being served over nis.

Good experience, I say...:)

I would like to put this up as a short article for other beginners to go through if they fall into a similar situation. I tried subscribing to the freebsd-doc, but havent received any replies on that as yet. I believe it is waiting for approval or something!?!?!? Quite long now, around 3-4 weeks.

Any suggesstions how should I go about it???

Regards,
Neeraj
