Perhaps the lower cost of Intel? And the name recognition of Intel? Not
many corporate/government induhviduals really know anything outside the
Windows/Intel option, and since he seemed to imply that he's going up
against an NT proponant (also prolly on Intel), that would at least give
corporate management some sort of "apples-to-apples" comparison. And of
course, he may not be familiar enough with Alpha to really recommend it.
