My dad's laptop's (toshiba satellite 2100CDT) sooooo geared for windows, = you can't even change the display's brigtness unless it's in = windows...all the fn+Fx keys pop up little windows dialogs that you = click on instead of cycling thru all the options like they used to (on = previous laptops i've seen/used). But as for the problem at hand: /boot.config: -P Keyboard: no ^^ I'd hazard a a guess and say your keyboards not being = detected...if you've got an extra keyboard lying around, try plugging = that in. VGA adaptor / audio adaptor / IDE controller / motherboard = chipset / RAM / CPU manufacturer / NIC (if installed) / modem as someone = may have had experience with some or all those bits.
