We have a PO translation system for our books and articles. It is described in the FreeBSD Documentation Project Primer: https://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/fdp-primer/ See the Quick Start for, well, a quick start: https://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/fdp-primer/po-translations-quick-start.html The translation chapter is here: https://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/fdp-primer/po-translations.html There is a lot of information there. Please don't let it intimidate you. Questions can be asked in the mailing lists or on IRC. We have some Spanish translations, and there is a group of people interested in updating Spanish translations. With the PO system, it is not necessary to translate a whole book or article, so you could start with translating a small article or even the Handbook. The only problem with the Handbook is that it is relatively large and takes some time to process. Thanks!home | help
