They don't build anyway, so it's not like there's much cause for worry right now. :-) beast# cd /sys/alpha/conf beast# config GENERIC GENERIC:0: unknown option "EV4" Unknown option used - it is VERY important that you do make clean && make depend before recompiling Kernel build directory is ../../compile/GENERIC beast# cd ../../compile/GENERIC beast# make clean && make depend ... cc: ../../kern/link_elf.c: No such file or directory cc: ../../isa/sio.c: No such file or directory mkdep: compile failed *** Error code 1 The world doesn't build yet either due to the nlist problems, so I'd say that FreeBSD/alpha is still a little ways from self-hosting status. - Jordan
