Mailing lists mentioned in the first section are not in the other, and vice versa. This patch attempts to make both lists consistent. It is a good start, but much more work will need to be done. Note 1: I have not yet build-tested this or run it through igor. That needs to be a Junior Handbook Hacker text. Note 2: the whitespace of the added text is undoubtedly wrong. This is more of a "here's what's missing" patch. Note 3: for the verbose descriptions, I have copied-and-pasted from what's in mailman. In some cases these descriptions are ungrammatical, archaic, and incomplete. Someone else will need to pick up the task of updating those. Note 4: there are two mailing lists that are completely missing a verbose description in mailman; see docs/176123 and docs/176125. I have included a stub for these two. >How-To-Repeat: >Fix: Index: doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/eresources/chapter.xml =================================================================== --- doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/eresources/chapter.xml (revision 40964) +++ doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/eresources/chapter.xml (working copy) @@ -445,6 +445,12 @@ </row> <row> + <entry>&a.pkg.name;</entry> + <entry>Binary package management and package tools + discussion</entry> + </row> + + <row> <entry>&a.platforms.name;</entry> <entry>Concerning ports to non &intel; architecture platforms</entry> @@ -630,6 +636,11 @@ </row> <row> + <entry>&a.ops-announce.name;</entry> + <entry>Project Infrastructure Announcements</entry> + </row> + + <row> <entry>&a.usergroups.name;</entry> <entry>User group coordination</entry> </row> @@ -939,6 +950,18 @@ <variablelist> <varlistentry> + <term>&a.aic7xxx.name;</term> + + <listitem> + <para><emphasis>This list is dedicated to the discussion + of the Adaptec aic7xxx family of disk controllers</emphasis> + and the driver support for them in FreeBSD and Linux.</para> + + <para>This includes the AHA-274X, AHA-284X, AHA-2940, AHA-3940, and AHA-398X adapters.</para> + </listitem> + </varlistentry> + + <varlistentry> <term>&a.acpi.name;</term> <listitem> @@ -948,6 +971,17 @@ </varlistentry> <varlistentry> + <term>&a.advocacy.name;</term> + + <listitem> + <para><emphasis>Furthering the Use of FreeBSD.</emphasis></para> + + <para>Share ideas and plan to increase the number of + companies and individuals using FreeBSD.</para> + </listitem> + </varlistentry> + + <varlistentry> <term>&a.afs.name;</term> <listitem> @@ -959,6 +993,20 @@ </varlistentry> <varlistentry> + <term>&a.amd64.name;</term> + + <listitem> + <para><emphasis>This is the technical mailing list. + It is for individuals actively working on porting FreeBSD + to the 64-bit platform from AMD, to bring up problems + or discuss alternative solutions.</emphasis></para> + + <para>Individuals interested in following the technical + discussion are also welcome.</para> + </listitem> + </varlistentry> + + <varlistentry> <term>&a.announce.name;</term> <listitem> @@ -976,6 +1024,16 @@ </varlistentry> <varlistentry> + <term>&a.apache.name;</term> + + <listitem> + <para><emphasis>This mailing list provides a place + to discuss apache-related ports and their changes, + as well as configuration and tuning issues.</emphasis></para> + </listitem> + </varlistentry> + + <varlistentry> <term>&a.arch.name;</term> <listitem> @@ -1012,6 +1070,28 @@ </varlistentry> <varlistentry> + <term>&a.arm.name;</term> + + <listitem> + <para><emphasis>This is the technical mailing list.
